Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Hampshire

I was in an uninsured accident 4 years ago and it was my fault. The state pulled my license till I pay. Is there a statue of limitation on this or does it never end?

While New Hampshire does not mandate that you purchase Automobile Insurance, it does require that you maintain financial responsibility for any accidental damages or injuries you cause while operating a motor vehicle (ie. Self-Insuring). Most people do this by purchasing insurance, and the existence of an insurance policy in the state minimum amounts satisfies the responsibility requirements even if the damage/injuries exceed the coverage.

If you were challenging the determination to suspend your license, you can appeal to the Bureau of Hearing (https://business.nh.gov/NCharge/Safety-Hearings/default.asp?form_name=GeneralHearingRequest ). Otherwise, for an uninsured motorist who has been in a crash and whose privileges have been suspended. If they cannot reach a mutual agreement with the other party, can post restitution with DMV. Restitution must be for the full amount and shall be accepted in only one of the following forms: A) Certified check or money order, payable to the "State of NH-DMV" for the exact amount specified; B) Cash for the exact amount specified; or C) an interest bearing savings account in the exact amount specified, accompanied by a signed order of withdrawal. Restitution may be submitted in person or mailed to: NH Dept. of Safety, DMV - FR Crash Unit, 23 Hazen Drive, Concord, NH 03305.
