Legal Question in Business Law in New Jersey

Affiliate website advice.

I am starting an Affiliate website that basically recommends certain businesses and services to visitors. When they make a purchase it earns me a commission. I am not seling anything directely. Would there be any need to be incorporated, licenced or insured? Also, How do I copyright my web page after it is designed? Are there any other legal aspects I am not mentioning?

Re: Affiliate website advice.

First, you should consider establishing a single member LLC. This gives your business legal protection similar to a corporation yet gives you the tax treatment of a sole proprietor. Please see my choice of entity information at http://www.taxesq.com/choice.html

Copyrighting by placing a notice online is sufficient until you need to enforce it. Registering your site's pages would be inappropriate since they should be constantly changing.
