Legal Question in Business Law in New Jersey

I need help with an issue of leaving my company to my partner and being free and

Hello,

I am CEO and co- Founder of a staffing company. I have a a 50/50 partner. I am leaving him to start up a staffing company for a bank in NJ. In order to do this I must take my name off of our license and also our incorporation. I need to show the state that I am legally off of the corporation before I can get a new license (consulting license ) for the bank I will be working for now. My question is this. Can I do this without an attorney? And if so...then where do I get the paperwork? How long will it take? Please keep in mind, that my partner is keeping our company going and I have already signed a general release of liability and separation agreement with him. The only thing I need to do is legally take my name off of the corporation and show the state that I am off the corp. to get a new license by June 11th. Can you help me with some advice?
