Legal Question in Business Law in New Jersey

Non Payment of Product Delivered

Do I have the right to repossess a printer from a company if I have provided the cartridges to operate the printer and they have refused to pay me? If not, what other recourse do I have?

No. Unless there is something to the contrary in your contract with the company, you can sue them for the amount they owe.

You can't repossess the printer unless you sold it to them subject to a mortgage or security instrument that said you could. You can't even repossess the cartridges. When you sell, title to the property changes. What you are left with is an unpaid debt. You can sue to collect it.
