Legal Question in Business Law in New Jersey

Can we sew our college for stealing our customers?

I work as an interior designer in a furniture store. Our pay is strictly commission based and we work very hard for every penny we can make. We have one college who constantly steals clients from everyone. We have complained on several occasions to our management and even had the talk with the company owner but nobody cares as long as she keeps making money for the company.

I have a lot of evidence to prove her actions. Can we sew her for stealing our customers and our money? Thank you in advance.

In all likelihood there would be no legal claim because the colleague works under the permission of the employer. But it is a very fact intensive scenario and we would need to understand exactly what kind of actions are being taken.

I suggest you discuss it over with a lawyer in private if you have serious concerns.

If you would like to discuss further over a free phone consult, feel free to contact me anytime that is convenient.

Our firm is now referred by the American Bar Association (see under the New York section):
