Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New Jersey

I have a pending civil suit. My current attorney does not want to take to trial. I found a prospective attorney who wants to help however Communication between the two have resulted in prospective attorney not wanting to take over the case. I feel strongly about taking this case to trial but current attorney urges me to settle. explained to me his firm is unwilling to take it to trial so i have to either find a new attorney or take it to trial Pro se. I have found a prospective attorney but feel like my current attorney is hindering my ability to obtain new council and I feel like my hands are tied. What options do I have? This is a NJ Federal court civil suit.
