Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Jersey

under age credit

I was 15-16 years old when i purchased some truck parts from a company in Missouri. under a company name which was registered under my parents. i couldn't pay them back so i owed them about 9,000 dollars. now im 20 years old and i check my credit report and i have a judgment and a lawyer sending me letters of suponia and other. i wanna see if its legal for them to put a judgment on my credit but the date they filed the judgment i just had turned 18. please help don't know what to do!!

You should have a lawyer examine the documents that you have. It doesn't make sense that there should be a judgment against you personally if the parts were bought through a business entity. If the judgment is against you personally, you should be able to have is voided because of your status as a minor but you can't wait on that. So, if you don't want to have a $9k debt following you, spend a little and get a lawyer to look the case over.
