Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

I was arrested in new jersey for poss. of cds w/ intent to dist. in a school zone. but it was inside my house. Is private property a school zone. My house is about 75 to 100 ft to the school.

This is an interesting question. I would argue that being inside your own house does not constitute being "in a school zone" since this was likely not the intent of the law. However, it is up in the air as to how a judge would rule on such an argument. I would like to discuss your case with you in more detail. Please contact me.
