Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

my boyfriend has a record hes been sitting in jail for two months there trying to get him for receiving stolen property and eluding police the 2 officers said it wasnt him so how long will he have to sit in there

If the officers have said he was not the one who ran from them, he should have been released from jail. Perhaps, the officers have not made that statement.

Your boyfriend is in a lot of trouble and needs to hire a lawyer, if he can If he had the money to hire an attorney he would have one by now who would answer your questions. It would seem that he wil not be getting out of jail without the help of his own lawyer.

He will be in jail until he either posts bail or has a bail reducition hearing to try to get him released on a reduced bail or on his own recognizance.
