Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

I was employed with this company.... With the owners permission to use the company vehicle... As I did not have transportation, I also kept a daily log of the milage... But the miles I loved did not match the odometer.... Before he brought this to my attention I gave him a two week notice and actually worked a third week because he ask if I would not leave him shorthanded until he hire someone else ... He did hire some one else .... Now he say that he is going to have me arrested for fraud... Because the mileage on the odometer is not the same as my log....I never signed anything saying that I would be responsible for milage... He wants to charge me .50 a mile.... According to him comes out to around 3.000........ Can he do this?

He could do anything. I would suggest you speak to an attorney sooner rather than later.
