Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Hi, I was awarded temporary custody of my daughters in my . I live in new Jersey and my ex moved to new hampshire with her boyfriend ..the courts have me custody until the trail date in late Sept..they are already enrolled in school here which they started in may and they start school this week ..they live with me and my family.what are the chances I'm able to obtain full custody..why would a judge schedule a hearing when school starts ? Thanks
