Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Hello, I have a court date next Wednesday the 8th of June, (it is supposed to be a plea hearing before actual trial) it is for drummed up Simple Assault DV charges from my estranged wife. She just added a TRO yesterday with a court date of of June 7th, the day before the plea hearing. I feel this is not a healthy situation, to have a court appearance for a TRO the day before the plea hearing for the related charge. I have an attorney but he is on vacation till the 6th of June (Can't make this stuff up if you tried) which I have called but have not received any callback yet. (Maybe this is a sign the I should hire someone else huh) Anyway, should I call the court myself and try to postpone (move back) the TRO hearing till my attorney can better prepare to represent me? I am afraid that the TRO will turn unto an FRO and further exasperate the plea hearing the following day. I know I should wait for my attorney to call me back and he probably will in time, but I am deathly concerned here and would like some advise.

If the attorney enter his appearance already, I doubt the court will even deal with you as everything would have to come through your attorney. Call me at 1-855-9-JEFLAW if you have any other questions
