Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

deposition costs

If I am the defendant in a court case for a divorce and my lawyer requests a deposition of my (adultering ) husband, plantiff and his girlfriend who pays the costs for the court stenographer? Are the costs split between the two parties or is the person who requests the deposition responsible for all the costs?

Re: deposition costs

Each side generally receives an invoice for their costs of the deposition from the court reporting service.

If your attorney ordered the deposition and the other side does not request a transcript they generally do not have a cost.
