Re: divorce

You don't mention some important information, such as who is named on the Deed as owners, or when the property was acquired. Nevertheless, in the vast majority of the cases with a 22 year marriage, the spouses split the home. For a more accurate answer to your question, you should consult with an attorney. Many offices, like ours, offer a no cost initial office visit.

Re: divorce

You are entitled to one half of everything you and your husband have accumulated during your marriage, with the exception of inheritance or gifts not commingled with marital assets.

Call me if you like.

Re: divorce

You are entitled to an equitably distributed share of all assets acquired during the marriage (excluding gifts and inheritances that are not commingled).

So generally, yes.

You should meet with an attorney for a consultation to determine your best course of action.

We have a number of lawyers here who could assist you. Please call for an appointment if you are interested.
