Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

My husband and I getting a divorce. I am keeping my married name and we agreed that he would keep me on his insurance. Is this legal even though his company also contributes to heath benefits. His company will know because my husband will be needing to change his W-4 form and change life insurance beneficiary. Not sure if legal to keep me on once divorce and I stay single.

One you are divorced you cannot remain on your husband's insurance plan. I would suggest you speak to an attorney immediately who can review this and the other issues that arise in a divorce. You may be giving up valauble rights without the proper legal advice.

I would be happy to follow up with you. Please email me directly or call my office if you would like to schedule an appointment either in person or by telephone. My contact information is listed in the links below.
