Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

keeping ex from coming on my property

I want to send my ex a legal notice informing him that he will be charged with trespass if he comes on to my property. Now that the divorce is final, the consent order/ no contact order has been released, and I know that he will come onto my property and cause damage or harm to myself or the house. I need something with ''teeth'' because he violated the consent order so many times, and now without it I know it will only escalate. I have the support of my local Police dept., but they need something more than my word to act upon if they see him here. Thank you in advance for your help

A letter by certified mail or , better yet personally served upon your former husband, should serve to place upon sufficient notice that he is not licensed to enter upon your premises and that he will be arrested for trespassing if he enters upon your property.
