Re: pregnancy

Hi,

Being pregnant is not a bar to getting divorced. However, it can have an impact on child support and affect other issues. I would be happy to discuss causes of action for divorce, and the issues should you file.

Re: pregnancy

You should find out who the father is by arranging a dna test at some point. As for a divorce, you can file for divorce today. You being pregnant has nothing to do with your filing for divorce.

Of course, part of your divorce has to do with parental obligations for support and the issue of paternity probably will come up.

Re: pregnancy

You could file for divorce while pregnant, I have had a client do that.

You would have to be out of your mind to file for a divorce until you sit down with an attorney and get some advice. You should not take action until you know who the father is.

If you would like, give me a call; I am in northern New Jersey. The telephone consultation will be free. I will do what I can to help you out.
