Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

I am in a process of divorce. I had verbal agreement with my husband and he agreed to that, because it is for his benefit and it was his offer. When I asked my lawyer to proceed with it , he refused saying that he has to see case statements. When it was done he said that he cannot do that, I am entitled to more. I wanted to be my own lawyer then just to finish divorce, but then I was afraid that something else can be added without my knowledge. I hired another lawyer who promised that he can make an agreement and finish the deal. But now he delays everything, says there has to be discovery, and it is more expense for me. What to do? Change the lawyer again? I am afraid to trust lawyers now. Why agreement is impossible if both agree? Help!

A lawyer is subject to being sued by his client if he fails to act diligently, even where the client consents. It is a problem in terms of expense, but haste makes waste. I would tell you the same thing. Call me if you like. 800/273/7933.
