Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Hello I was wondering what the laws are in New Jersey when it comes to getting a legal separation. If my spouse has committed adultery is there a way that my spouse could postpone the court date for getting a legal separation? Or is committing adultery fall within the the at-fault ground and there isn't anyway to postpone the legal separation court date? Only thing I was able to research online is having a medical reason for postponing the court date for the legal separation.

As I previously said, one has nothing to do with another. There is no legal separation as there is in other states. There are ways to achieve something similar but its rarely done.
