Legal Question in Medical Leave in New Jersey

maternity leave

I'm 37 wks pregnant and my manager is not allowing me to work from home (there are people who do work from whom regardless of the state). I end up not going to the office once a week to the office.

Can my employer lay me off and if yes can i take any action legally? Can I apply for disability (NJ state) if yes who'll be paying me during the time off?

Re: maternity leave

Your answer depends on a couple of questions. Have you received a letter from your doctor requesting that you work from home? Are employees in similar positions allowed to work from home? I suggest you talk to an attorney to about your rights. If you would like to talk, please feel free to contact me at the number below.
