Dependent Visa

Hi, I am currently on L1A.. I am getting married this August. my fiancee has got MBA admission in NJIT. Just wanted to knw..if I can bring him on my L2 and if he can study here in NJIT? is he eligible to work part time, and change his visa status to H1 after he completes his studies?? Also can he take loan from India for his studies???

Once you are married, your husband can enter the US on L-2 status or change status to L-2 within the US. He will also be eligible to apply for work authorization while in L-2 status. This will allow him to work part time.

You can only bring him over on an L2 only once he is your husband. For the student questions there are a few that you will need to check with the school. As an L-2 he will be able to file for work authorization. The loan issue is not an immigration issue but instead a bank issue.
