death benefit beneficiary
I am a beneficiary to my brother's insurance death benefit. he has an estranged wife living in California. I and my brother are in New Jersey. I am listed as sole beneficiary. Does his estranged wife have any claims to the desath benefit?

She shouldn't. An insurance contract is normally separate from any estate subject to probate.
The documents on file at death with the insurance comapany control/
