how long does ins co have to pay me for car accident

My friend was driving my car on 4/4/04, when a girl making a left , hit my car on the side.Insurance company has admited it is her fault and that they are responsible.the next day after the accident which was late at night, the car was in the body shop waiting for ajuster to come that was 5th, that day I called her insurance company, she had no

ins card valid on her at time accident , but cop said her ins was good, and they denied havin her a client, until 4th time i called and said to put in her parent name and they found her name on a policy, I got a claim nuumber and then was told that was wrong policy number and I would have to wait for another ajuster , was told she had her own binder number not policy number, i know she appied for it 3 march, from ins broker who wrote the policy for her, when I called the broker to find out , he infrmed me she had basic 5000 coverage and that was all I am entititled too.This does not cover my car damage or my rent a car,was told bf has to go to his own ins co for medical bills, How long are they allowed to wait to pay me?3 day is 30 days????

There isn't a time limit on how long they have to pay you for your property damage. Please call if you have specific questions regarding yours or your friends situation. You can still sue the girl if her insurance is not enough to cover your damage but if you plan on doing that do not sign any release to get the insurance proceeds.
