Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey

2 weeks after starting my sales job for an IT reseller they told me I needed to sign a non-compete to stay. I signed it. Now have an offer to work for a IT manufacturer. The product they make my current company sells. The non-compete I signed also states it covers the entire US. Is this an enforceable agreement?

Non-compete agreements are very individualized. I highly recommend that you contact me or another employment lawyer to schedule a consultation to review your employment agreement and to discuss the relevant facts to help determine how likely it is that your agreement is enforceable.
