Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey

I work 80 hours weekly in a restaurant they are paying me 55 hours on the check as a salary so they won't pay overtime and the rest in cash ... is this legal?

Are you under a contract?

Is your employer paying taxes on your over-time pay?

If you are being paid over-time in cash and this is not reported to the IRS and State, it can create problems for your employer and for you.
