Legal Question in Personal Injury in New Jersey

I was in the supermarket on the self check out lanes and a woman was next in line but impatient and didn't want to wait for me to finish. She scanned her item, paid for it and then nudged my grocery cart into me making the gesture that I move and let her thru several times. I told her she needed to wait or walk around. She then asked that I give her a bag, I just ignored her. She screamed something out at me but it was not in English as she stormed out of the store. About 8 minutes later as i was

packing up my car, this woman drove up to me,stopped her car, spit in my face and took off. I managed to get her license plate number and called the police. The officer told me that the woman said she did indeed wait for me to come out of the store and spit in my face because I was rude to her. Two days later I woke up

with an infected eye. I went to the Dr and was prescribed Tobradex Ophthsol. The Dr.said it was due to the spit.

Do I have a case against this woman that I can persue?

Based on the woman's admissions and what your doctor said was the cause of your medical problem you appear to have a claim against the woman.
