how do i clear a 50 year old lien (1960) from a defunked trust company ($4000 construction loan ) so i can clear title and sell my property?

sent title company notice, and copy of document showing the origtinal mortgage (construction loan passed to a trust company and to three other banks finally at wells fargo) to wells fargo lien release department which sent me a notice to send proof of payment which i do not have. it was probably never recorded in somerst county, new jersey.

If the lien is in your name, most title companies will insure over it with an affadavit signed by you that it is paid in full and no claims have been made against you for 50 years. If you have trouble finding a title company or need help preparing the documents for sale please contact my office.
