Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Jersey

redemption process-filing for emergency chapter 13

my home was sold in a sheriff's sale two weeks ago. I was told i have 10 days to redeem the property. during the time of redemption i filed for emergency chapter 13. i want to know can this save my home? If not when i go to my bankruptcy hearing should i tell them that i want to save my home and now i can make mortgage payments? A friend told me that i should tell the judge that i want to sell my home at fair market value and that i need more time to sell it in my own . Please help very confused with this process. i will be homeless if i dont save my home . Should i seek legal advice?

You should IMMEDIATELY go to an atty who does bankruptcy for a consult and answer your questions. Why did you wait so long? You may have waited too long.

Good luck.
