Do Non profit, American Legion Post, pay sales tax on sales of liquor at the bar?

Yes. Exempt organizations are required to pay sales tax for non-exempt purpose sales. Selling liquopr is not part of the exempt purpose. Nevertheless, New Jersey Sales and Use Tax laws are very complex and you should consult a tax lawyer familiar with Non-Profits.
