Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

Nj driving while suspended tickets 7 years ago and more

I was stopped in washington state and got a driving while suspended. come to find out i had 4 tickets in NJ from '95 and '99 ( driving while suspended x2, speeding, unregistered vehicle) the nj tickets are a really high price and i have no way of getting back there at the moment. and there is also a surcharge. is there a way i can pay a payment plan on the surcharge just to get my licence back so i can get a washington state licence? what else can i do about those NJ tickets?

You have left out a few facts. Are you suspended because you failed to pay fines? Are You suspended because you failed to appear in court on the New Jersey traffic tickets.

If you failed to pay the fines call the courts involved and pay the fines or make arrangement to pay the fines over time.

If you failed to appear in court on the subject traffic tickets you should hire a New Jersey attorney to appear on your behalf with an affidavit authorizing him to act on your behalf in your absence.

Call me if you like.

Without an attorney to help you, this could be tough as the court's will want you to show up. But, it doesn't sound like you have the money for an attorney so I don't see any other options here.

You should contact the courts in NJ where you got these tickets in 1995 and 1999 and ask them if you can just pay the tickets and get it over with. They may say NO because the driving while suspended tickets carry the potential for jail time and further suspension of your driver's license. Until you clear up your traffic matters in NJ you may not be able to get your WA license restored. I am an attorney who has handled many cases similar to yours in various courts throughout NJ in the past. I would like to discuss your case with you in more detail after you call the courts where you got the tickets. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.

Sincerely yours, -Ronald Aronds, Esq.-
