Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

Parking ticket...

I was issued a parking ticket in Hoboken, NJ. My plate number was written incorrectly, so I thought I might have a chance to have the case thrown out. I went to court & pleaded not guilty, and the judge said I will be scheduled now for a trial in a few weeks. (For a parking ticket?!!) The prosecutor was of no help. Anyway, I would now like to know if there's any way to just call the court & change my plea to guilty, pay the stupid thing and be done with it already? Do you think this is possible? What should I do? At this point, what is the best and cheapest way out of this little mess? Thank you!

Re: Parking ticket...

It takes time and effort to establish principal! Be careful what you wish for! You have asked for your day in Court and you have been granted your wish!

Not sure about the way that municipality works, but you should call the Court Administrator, tell him/her that you just want to plead guilty and pay it and you should be able to do so. If not, go in on that day and do the same thing. Good luck!

I agree with Mr. Gleaner. Just call the court or go to court.
