Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

Hello, i have recieved a careless driving ticket about a week ago, i had rear ended someone. as far as i know there was no damage to her car. i currently have 9 points on my license form previous speeding tickets in the past 2 years. my mistake was never going to court to fight the tickets, i always just paid them. i now would like to excersize my right to amend the ticket, possibly to a 0 point violation. considering my driving record, do you think this will be a possibility ?
