There is no firm 'deadline' for filing a Will for probate. However, you should probate the will as soon as possible.

A Will cannot be probated before 10 days of the date of death have passed, and there is no outside date. If you know the information, contact the person named as Executor in the Will or the person who has the original. If there is no original Will to be found, the closest next of kin (spouse or children) can be appointed Administrator of the Estate and complete the probate proceedings. Administration is probate where there is no Will, and is a little complicated, but can be accomplished. If you need help, contact me directly.
