Re: minor inherits house from paternal grdmom

It depends upon language of the Will creating the inheritance. Traditionally assets to be in inherited by a minor are placed in a trust created under the Will, with someone named as Trustee in the Will. If there is nothing about this in the Will, a Court proceeding may be required to determine which parent, father or mother, or both, may be involved. If I could see the Will, I may be able to provide better information. Have further questions, contact me directly.
