Ipurchased a 2001 chevy silverado extnded cab last year this month we paid 18,000.00 for it I asked the the dealer for a carfax report he answered we dount do that so we trusted him because in the passed we had purchased other cars from them.We were looking to buy a new car and the new dealer asks us if this truck had been in an accident in the past we told them no not that we knew about the new dealer pulled up the carfax report on the truck and found out that it was in an accident so he said all he could give us was 6.000.00 for the truck we could not belive what he told us.Do we have a case against the other dealer for selling us a wrecked truck.

Re: carfax law

You said you put your trust in the dealer who sold you the car. Sounds like that was misplaced. Carfax doesn't charge much, why didn't you run your own report?

Was there any paperwork, or a tag that said "SOLD AS IS"?
