Legal Question in Business Law in New York

''Doing Business in NY'' involving a Nevada internet business

I've started an Nevada e-business selling clothing over the internet. The physical presence is set up in Nevada through an incorporating service. If the company rents a P.O. Box in New York for receiving and shipping purposes does it have to apply as a foreign business in NY. Is it ''doing business in NY'' if it maintains a P.O. Box there?

I have no idea what "shipping and receiving purposes" means.

A P. O. box in New York to receive mail, with no other activity in New York, would peobably not constitute doing business in New York.

Drop shipping from a New York supplier probably would.
