Legal Question in Business Law in New York

workplace question

If a complaint is filed againt me, do I have the right to know who it is or just let my supervisor say ''these people say....''? It could be people he favors who don't care for me saying things. It is a very unfair workplace.

Re: workplace question

In a court of law, yes, you would have the constitutional right to confront your accusers, which, necessarily, means you'd know who they are.

In an employment situation, it's not quite that clear-cut. However, there are potent anti-discrimination laws in effect that apply to the workplace. You should hire an attorney who handles employment law to discuss your situation and your options under these laws (I don't handle employment matters).

Have you considered maybe getting another job?
