Legal Question in Constitutional Law in New York

A mechanic's lien was put on my house in Hawthorne, NY, how long will it be on my house. The contractor did not fix problems, i.e. leaking new roof, water seeping into basement. Held back payment until problems were fixed.

How long is the lien on my house if no action by builder was made to correct problems?
