food poisioning

I was admitted to hospital due to food

poisoning from a hamburger. I have contacted the company and wonder what if anything they are responsible for. I have lost income and have hospital bills

There can be damages and punitive damages if the problem was systemic and not isolated. They may offer money if you handle it right.
