Legal Question in Consumer Law in New York

Forged signature on sales contract at a dealership

I was wondering if you can tell me if there is any jail time for a Forged signature on sales contract at a dealership? I do have a witness of the paper that there is a Forged signature on sales contract at a dealership. At the present time I have asked for a copy for another order write up & My mother is also a witness to the fact that there is another order write up and the employee of the dealership is a witness( the one I have is the color pink aka the customer copy the second order write up). .The writing on the second write up ( sales write up I really call it) that says on “ This order Supersedes all pervious orders. So this proves there is another order.

In all at this time I want to know if you can tell me if there is any jail time for a Forged signature on sales contract at a dealership?

Thank you for your time and help in this matter.

Stan

Forgery is a felony and while jail is not required, it is an option in such a prosecution.

It is a crime to threaten criminal prosecution and you don't get to accuse someone of forgery, when it was done with your knowledge and with the intent to assist you. You should consult with an attorney and tell them all the facts; you don't get to only use the ones that help you.
