Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

Attachment of Assets

Being 100% medically disabled for the past six years, and living on a very small

Social Security retirement check, I have had judgments filed agains me because I

am unable to work nor find employment. My only asset is a motor vehicle, which will

become paid up shortly. Will there be leins filed against my car as soon as I own it?

Thanks.

Re: Attachment of Assets

There can be leins filed against your vehicle. It is not exempt property from execution by judgment creditors. Best of luck.
