Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

I received a judgment against me for a debt that is under my social security # that is not my debt and now there is a request to garnish my wages. This is my father's debt and we have the same name. Is there a way to switch the debt to my father, off my ss# and put it under his and have them contact him about getting the debt?

also, i never got any letters for me to appear in court and the address they have is at my father's address

You would have to file an Order to Show Cause to vacate the Judgment. However, before you do anything, you should contact the attorney and explain the circumstance.
