wage garnishment

I'm barely making a living working only 16 hours a week for $100 weekly for a department store. Can a creditor garnish any of this $100 weekly wage? I've heard it's 25%.

Generally all wages from work can be garnishedm there are very few types of income which can not be garnished, and as such would make an individual 'judgment proof'.
