My son has been acused and now questioned by the police on a charge of giving a kid at school darvcet. The other kid was caught giving to someon else and said my son gave it to him. My son says he did not do it. The othe two were suspended from school on Friday and my son was questioned today. what is the worst case if he is charged and arrested

If he is convicted of a drug offense he would be ineligible for financial aid. The charge can carry jail time but it's rare for a first offense. On the facts you describe, he probably will not be charged. But if he is, we handle cases in Saratoga County.

There are too many contingencies here to be able to give a real response without further speaking with you. However one thing i will guarantee you is that it is not likely going ot be helpful to spea to the police without having an attorney there for your son... i would suggest contacting someone and hiring an attorney to protect your son when speakingto the police... generally, the police do not want to just 'question' anyone and there are usually ulterior motives...
