Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

drop larceny charges

Someone just recently got charged with petty larceny, was presented before judge and court date was set. Is it possible by any way to get those charges dropped if person who pressed the charges in the first place is willing to do so. If yes then what is the procedure?

Thanks

Re: drop larceny charges

It is up to the DA but that certainly helps. It would still be highly advisable to retain an experienced attorney to represent you and protect your rights. It would also give you the greatest chance of a reduction or dismissal of the charges. We have substantial experience handling these types of cases, however, we would need some more information before making a complete and proper determination. Re: drop larceny charges

The state not the person complaining now controls the destiny of the charges. I need more specifics before making any other predictions. You may contact my office @7188340087 for a free phone consultation. You should however be prepared to retain a competent criminal defense attorney for the best results.
