Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
drug charges
about 2 months ago my friends sisters house got raided and they had found 8 1/2 ounces of cocaine and her and her boyfriend said it was my friends and signed statements on him. my friend was arrested two days ago. Can they actually charge him like that. even thou it really isnt his. and they got him with intimidating a witness 2 weeks before he was charged how is this possible he had no idea he had anyone writting statements against him.

Can they charge him? Yes.
Can they convict him? Maybe.
So, you're friend's sister implicated your friend? And it was found in your friend's sister's house? Sounds kind of dodgy.
