parole office gave wrong info to board, please help, time to appeal

Hello. My sister had an affair with her 16 year old student. She has been in Albion for the past year. She went up for parole last week. She's been a model prisoner, no priors on anything, made a BAD decision. Well, the parole office sent wrong information to the parole board and now my sister has to appeal (they denied her parole). The ''relationship'' was consenting on both parties; though he was underage. The parole office said it was done with a weapon AND that she caused grievous bodily harm. She did neither of these things. Her counselors at prison told her to report this at her appeal and call it a procedural error. Help? Is this correct? Or is there anything else she can do? Thank you!

Since you are dealing with a government agency, you must first "exhaust" all the appeals processes within the Division of Parole and then you can bring a proceeding in the state courts to force the Division of Parole to do the right thing.
