What if you had to return for sentencing and decided not to, what are all the consequences that can happen...........

Usually at the time of plea or release the Judge issues "Parker Warnings". These contain a statement that if you voluntarily fail to return for sentencing the Judge may sentence you to the maximum allowed by law. So, for example, 1 year on an A misdemeanor, 7 years for a D felony.
