Legal Question in Entertainment Law in New York

Can a school tell boys they can not try out for the cheerleading team because they do not want boys on the team and can they tell the coach that they can not cut certain girls because their parents mean more to the school than others?

Is it a public or private school? If public, try callingteh Board of Education anonymously, if private; they can probably get away with it. Good luck!
