Legal Question in Family Law in New York

I'm a muslim. In Islam religion woman can't give divorce while she can take KHULA. I want to take KHULA from my spouse. Is that possible? Please guide me. I'm sendding this message for getting free of cost answer. Thank you.

Religious and civil divorces are completely unrelated. While you may get a form of religious Divorce, that will not translate into a civil divorce. You should speak to an attorney regarding getting a civil divorce.
